The Arturi were launched in 2006 by Alessandra Paglialonga.
There are 15 hand-made paper, material and sequin characters. At first sight they look like animals, but they are actually vegetable. The Arturi are born from plants and the paper is their skin. If you look at the paper they are made of then you can discover their DNA.
What paper suits a fish? Large squared paper obviously. As you see the fish through the water the sqaures are magnified. Who else would take over the front cover? The mussel!
Above all, why in your view would the skunk be made of semi-transparent acetate?
Basically there is the origin-leaf for all of them, but we have yet to identify their birth trees. For now the Arturi are only Alessandra's creations, numbered in a 50-piece limited series. The search for their origins is still in progress…
